Get the straight, beautiful smile you have always wanted with Invisalign. Invisalign is the invisible way to straighten your teeth, without braces. It uses a series of invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners to straighten your teeth, instead of metal wires or brackets. No one can tell you're wearing Invisalign, so you can smile during treatment as well as after. Invisalign has been proven effective by orthodontists nationwide, including those at Rockefeller Dental.

We want you to achieve the smile of your dreams, so at Rockefeller Dental we offer you Straight & Bright. To ensure your teeth are not only as straight as you hoped for, but also as white, we provide a free whitening treatment to all of our Invisalign patients at the end of their treatment.

Does this sound like it is the teeth straightening option for you? Call us today and make an appointment to get started on the path to your beautiful, new smile.

How Long Does It Take?

Step 1: Visit Rockefeller Dental

During this first step you will need to make an appointment with us, and we will help you decide on your path of treatment. One of our certified dentists will take bite impressions of your teeth and send them, along with a set of precise instructions, to the Invisalign company.

Step 2: Invisalign makes
your aligners

Invisalign fabricates your aligners using advanced 3-D computer imaging technology to transform your bite impressions into a custom-made series of clear and removable aligners. There may be as many as 48 in the series or as few as 12, depending on your individual treatment plan.

Step 3: You receive your Invisalign aligners

Your Invisalign aligners are sent back to Rockefeller Dental in a few weeks. During your next office visit, you will receive your first set of aligners. Usually, we will give you a few additional sets to wear before you return for your next visit with us.

Step 4: Wear your
Invisalign aligners

We will ask you to wear each set of aligners for approximately 2 weeks. You will wear them all day and all night, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. Total treatment time averages 9-15 months, but will vary from case to case. You'll visit Rockefeller Dental about every 6 weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned.

Step 5: Your Invisalign
treatment is finished

When you're finished wearing each Invisalign aligner in the series, your treatment will be complete and you will have the beautiful smile you've always wanted.

How Does Invisalign Work?

In the past, the main disadvantage of conventional orthodontic braces used to correct, straighten, rotate, and align crooked teeth is that you could see them. Usually, braces consist of metal, plastic, or ceramic brackets glued to the teeth with a tightening wire holding them in place. While braces produce beautiful results, many potential clients opt not to wear them because they do not want to look unattractive during the process. Fortunately, Invisalign produces exactly the same results — and is completely invisible.

The Invisalign treatment uses a series of snap-on, custom fit, removable mouth trays, or aligners. These Invisalign aligners apply a controlled amount of pressure to your teeth, forcing them to shift. The process begins with a computer-generated image of what your teeth will look like at each stage of treatment from beginning to end. Each aligner is designed to pressure specific teeth to move into place. Every two weeks you will switch to a new Invisalign tray. You will visit Rockefeller Dental every six weeks to ensure your treatment is progressing as planned. Once your treatment is complete, we usually recommend you wear a clear retainer to ensure you maintain your new smile.

Since Invisalign trays are made of clear plastic, they are practically invisible when they are on your teeth. Another benefit of Invisalign aligners is that they are removable, so they can be taken out while eating, drinking or brushing, and flossing. Unlike traditional braces, there is no tightening or adjustments. This makes Invisalign a very attractive option for our clients. Invisalign offers the benefits of invisibility and comfort.
